General information about OFA test

For the enrollment in bachelor’s degree courses, the Faculty has introduced a knowledge test, called OFA, aimed at evaluating the preparation of bachelor’s degree applicants. For the bachelor’s degree in digital economics and business, the OFA test assesses the knowledge in mathematics and logic.

The OFA test takes place online in February, July, and September before the start of the first year, and in November, January, and February of the first semester. The OFA test can be repeated on all the dates, until it is passed.

The test lasts 30 minutes and it is made up of 20 multiple choice questions, 10 on logic and 10 on mathematics. Students pass the test if they provide at least 8 correct answers, of which at least one for each subject area.

Starting from the 2025/26 academic year, students are exempt from the OFA test if they meet any of the following conditions:

  1. They have taken the TOLC-E test administered by CISIA and correctly answered at least 40% of the questions in the Mathematics and Logic sections, with at least one correct answer in each section. The TOLC-E test result must be presented at the Registrar's Office for formal recognition of the exemption.
  2. They have passed the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT). The SAT result must be presented at the Registrar's Office for formal recognition of the exemption.
  3. They have a prior university career in Italy and have already passed an exam in Mathematics or Microeconomics.

Failure to pass the OFA test

Failing the OFA test results in an educational debt (OFA educational debt), which must be addressed within the second semester of the first year. This can be done in one of two ways:

  1. By passing either the Mathematics or Principles of Economics exam.
  2. By following the learning path indicated by the Faculty, which may include recommended textbooks, specific lessons, or targeted exercises aimed at building the required foundational knowledge. After completing these activities, the student will undergo an additional assessment, like an oral interview, by the end of the second semester of the first year.

Until this OFA educational debt is resolved, students will not be allowed to register for the second year and will be required to repeat the first year.
